This year marks the 50th running of the ABS Invitational — a milestone built on decades of runners, coaches, competition, and tradition.

Join us for a special evening as we celebrate the history of the ABS Invitational, cheer on today’s student-athletes, and finish the night with a commemorative 5K open to the public.

School Races Begin at 5:30 PM

The evening will begin with the traditional ABS Invitational school races, welcoming student-athletes and teams for another year of competition.

These races will be conducted under AHSAA guidelines.

Following the traditional school races, we’re opening the course to the community for a special 50th ABS Invitational Commemorative 5K.

This OPEN RACE is for the public! Whether you are a former ABS runner, alumnus, parent, friend, community member, or simply someone who loves to run, we would love for you to be part of this special milestone.

Race Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Athens Sportsplex, Athens, AL — US Hwy 31, just .7 mile south of I-65 Exit 354
Registration: $45 per runner
Parking: $5 per car; buses free

Be sure to register by October 6 to ensure you receive a commemorative race T-shirt. Registration will close October 14.
