Dual Enrollment at Athens Bible School
At Athens Bible School, we are committed to helping students maximize their academic potential and prepare for college success. Through our Dual Enrollment program, students can earn both high school and college credit simultaneously—saving time and money while being challenged academically in a spiritually focused environment.
We proudly partner with Calhoun Community College, located just ten miles from our Persell Campus, to offer qualifying high school students a wide range of college-level courses right here at ABS.
A Unique and Flexible Experience
Almost all dual enrollment courses are taught on our campus during the regular school day (8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.), which allows students to fully participate in the ABS experience. That means no sacrificing clubs, athletics, service opportunities, or other high school activities. Students are able to thrive both academically and socially without compromise.
Taught by Qualified Christian Faculty
Our faculty is selected with excellence in mind—not only for their teaching ability but also for their qualifications to serve as adjunct college professors. This requires a Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in the specific subject they teach.
Having the opportunity to study college-level material taught by Christian educators is a rare and valuable experience that reflects our mission to provide both academic and spiritual development.
Accredited and Recognized
Athens Bible School is proud to be a designated off-campus instructional site of Calhoun Community College, holding accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools - Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). In addition, ABS is a member of the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP)—the nation’s only accrediting body for concurrent enrollment.
Dual Enrollment Courses Offered at ABS
Courses currently available through dual enrollment at Athens Bible School include:
Dual Enrollment English
Dual Enrollment Spanish
Dual Enrollment Math
Dual Enrollment History
Dual Enrollment Biology
Each course is carefully selected to support both high school and college pathways, and new offerings are added as student needs evolve.
Results That Matter
Over the last few years, each graduate of ABS has averaged more than 36 semester hours of college credit—equivalent to over a year of college completed by graduation. To date, 17 students have earned enough credits to graduate from Athens Bible School with both a high school diploma and an Associate of Science degree, having earned 60–64 college hours.
That means our dual enrollment students are often halfway to a bachelor’s degree by the time they leave ABS.
