Rebecca Gibson

Mrs. Rebecca Gibson teaches 4th and 5th Grade Math at Athens Bible School. She brings both classroom and homeschool experience, along with a deep commitment to helping students build strong academic foundations.
Mrs. Gibson attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville before transferring to Athens State University, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She completed her student teaching at Heritage Elementary School in Madison, AL.
Her teaching experience includes serving as a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center (2004), where she taught all subjects for grades K–12, and as a first-grade teacher at Heritage Elementary (2005–2009), where she also served as Grade Level Chair. From 2020–2022, she homeschooled her two daughters, teaching kindergarten, first, sixth, and seventh grades. She began substituting at ABS in 2022 and is now in her third year of full-time teaching.
Mrs. Gibson has completed AMSTI training and is recognized as a Highly Qualified Teacher. Her wide range of teaching experience and dedication to student success make her an important part of the ABS faculty.
