Julie Weatherford

Juls currently teaches 8th Grade Earth Science, 9th Grade Physical Science, and 12th Grade Physics. She earned her Associate of Arts in Pre-Pharmacy from Florida College and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of South Florida. Juls began her career as a science laboratory instructor at Florida College before moving to Athens, where she taught high school science at ABS for six years. During that time, she completed her Alternative Baccalaureate Certificate in Secondary General Science at Athens State University and gained classroom experience at Athens Bible School, Bob Jones, Grissom, and East Limestone high schools. She holds an Alabama Professional Educator License.
After stepping away from the classroom to homeschool her children, Juls returned to ABS—bringing her own children with her—and is now in her fourth year back in the classroom. In addition to teaching, she recently completed NFHS and AHSAA coaching certifications and serves as one of the sprint coaches for the ABS Track and Field team.
