Jennifer Pennington

Mrs. Jennifer Pennington serves as a Fourth and Fifth Grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at ABS. She is passionate about helping students become confident readers, thoughtful writers, and informed young citizens.
Mrs. Pennington is a graduate of Western Carolina University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education (BSED) in Middle Grades Education with a Concentration in English, a Focus in Social Studies, and K–12 Reading Certification. During her time there, she received the Student Organization Leadership Award for Elementary & Middle Grades Education (1996) and completed her student teaching at Waynesville Middle School in the mountains of North Carolina.
She is committed to ongoing professional growth and continues to pursue training in classical and research-based literacy instruction. Her continuing education and affiliations include:

Mrs. Pennington brings a love of history and a heart for literacy into her classroom each day. She strives to cultivate critical thinking, strong character, and a deep appreciation for our nation’s story in the students she teaches.
