Mrs. Cathy Denton teaches Science for 4th–6th grades at Athens Bible School. She graduated from David Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Science in Family Consumer Science (grades 7–12) and General Science (grades 6–12). She currently holds Alabama certifications in Family Consumer Science (7–12) and Middle School Science (4–8).
Mrs. Denton has been a part of the ABS faculty since 2007, bringing years of experience and a love for science to her students. Before coming to ABS, she taught at Knoxville Christian School in Knoxville, TN, where she served as a Preschool Director/Teacher and a Kindergarten teacher.
She has continued to grow her expertise through professional training, including AMSTI Science for grades 3–6, CASE STEM Education, and the Exploring the Future Space Orientation Educator Program with UAH and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Mrs. Denton is dedicated to sparking curiosity and helping students discover the wonders of science through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
