A Look at Japan
Continuing their adventures around the world, Mrs. Raley's second grade class recently studied the country of Japan. Adding interest to the study Rebecca Croomes, a senior at ABS, and a student of Japanese language and culture, made a powerpoint presentation to the children. Miss Croomes discussed many aspects of Japanese life--their practices at home, such as how they take off their shoes when they enter their houses and how they eat with chopsticks, as well as some facts about the school activities of Japanese children. She also demonstrated some Japanese writing, as shown below.
