Randy Adams
Born July 20, 1957 in Pulaski, TN, Randall (Randy) Adams is the eldest of the three sons of Ernest and Emma Lucy Adams and was reared in rural Limestone County. He attended ABS in grades 1-4 before following the career of his school principal father into the public schools. He met his wife, the former Jill Osborne (’75) at ABS in the fourth grade but they didn’t begin dating until after graduation. Married in 1979, they were blessed with two daughters, Jennifer (’03) and Rebecca (’06).
Randy has attended New Hope church of Christ for most of his life (where he currently serves as a deacon) except for his pre-school years spent at Pleasant Valley and then, South Tuscaloosa while attending college. He earned degrees/certifications in social studies, counseling/psychometry and the principalship from Athens State College, the University of Alabama and Alabama A. & M. University, respectively.
Randy has served in every secondary school in the Limestone County School System, as well as stints in the Decatur City Schools and Athens State and Calhoun Community Colleges. His experience includes classroom teaching, but has primarily been spent in counseling and related capacities in grades kindergarten through college over a career spanning nearly thirty years in the field of education.
Randy and his family are excited about his return to ABS and the opportunity to serve in a new role.
