The Alliance Purpose

As ABS continues to grow, we must be prepared for the challenges that come with that growth.  Our facilities are aging, our average attendance is increasing and technology keeps advancing.  As all of this continues, we must face the inevitability of meeting the needs of our current students, while preparing for the future.

The purpose of the Athens Bible School Alliance is to provide the critical financial foundation that is necessary for the school to effectively function whether we are in our current facility or on our future campus.  As you are aware, we are in the early planning stages of our new facility.  You will see below the list of items that we must accomplish before we can move into this new facility and the progress we are making toward those goals.

  • Purchase property - completed
  • Raise $750,000 for Phase 1 (infrastructure & field house) - completed
  • Complete Phase 1 - completed
  • Complete plans for Phase 2 - completed
  • Raise $200,000 for architectural plans for Phase 3 - completed
  • Finish architectural plans - almost completed
  • Establish a stable annual income to demonstrate financial reliability to money lending institutions and provide for annual needs.
  • Raise money for Phase 2 (ball fields)
  • Complete Phase 2
  • Raise money for Phase 3 (educational facility)
  • Complete Phase 3

The bolded statement above is critical to our progress of reaching our goal to build a new facility.  By becoming a long term Alliance member you enable Athens Bible School to…

  1. Meet the educational needs of our current students.
  2. Demonstrate a stable and reliable income to future investors for the new facility.
  3. Establish a strong investor base that will continue to meet educational needs after we move to the new facility.

Alliance membership may be made with a once-a-year gift of $1,000 or more, or by spreading your gift over monthly payments to reach a fiscal year level of $1,000 or more.  Our goal is to reach $100,000 given by Alliance members each year.
