Sportsmanship Award

Athens Bible School was honored at the Annual Star Sportsmanship Luncheon hosted by the Alabama High School Athletic Association as one of only five schools in the state to go four consecutive years with no fines or ejections from a sporting event.  This award is given out annually during All-Star Sports Week held every July.  When asked about the award our Athletic Director, Bill Murrell, said, "The award is a testimony to the quality of our students, parents and coaches.  It demonstrates that you can have a competitive sports program without compromising your integrity and good sportsmanship."  All together, 101 schools in Alabama received an award for not receiving any fines or ejections for the 2010-11 athletic season, 5 of those were in Limestone County.
