Fourth Grade is "Bowled Over"

We may have thought that bowling was just a fun activity done in our spare time, but fourth graders found that the act of bowling is filled with many scientific principles. Mrs. Denton's Fourth Grade Class has been studying machines and friction. Besides the actions taken during the game, the movements of the equipment that resets the pins and returns the balls is a fascinating study. Students were treated to a tour on both ends of the lane and the added bonus of actually bowling a few games..
