Second Grade Studies the Incredible, Edible Egg!
The class first learned facts about eggs, such as vitamins and nutrients, how many eggs are produced each year, and the different parts of the egg.
Next, the students used macaroni as a math manipulative, in the form of money, to purchase straws and tape. These items would be used to build a "house" to encase the egg, which would be dropped as part of an experiment.
The kids did a great job working in groups and building these houses. They also had fun learning Science and Math.
