Mrs. Murray's Fifth Grade (2006-2007)
Mrs. Murray's fifth grade class, with some help from
Mr. Chandler, is participating in a stock market simulation that is sponsored by UAB. The class is divided into teams of three, with each team receiving $100,000 of virtual cash to invest. Students have researched various companies and have bought and sold a number of stocks since the simulation began. Students continue to look for companies that are showing a profit gain in order to increase their portfolio. The simulation will run until early December. Currently, one of the 5th grade teams is in first place in overall profit for the 60+ Alabama schools participating.

The competition has been completed, and Mrs. Murray's fifth grade class has done very well! Out of the 60+ schools participating in the stock market simulation ABS finished with 3rd place and 4th place overall. Congratulations, fifth grade!
Third place group winners are Andrew Dunaway, Ashley Riggins and Tanner Payne. Fourth place group winners are Ginger Bullington, Caitlin Denton and Ben Williams.
