Mrs. Stanford's third grade social studies class had a TASTE OF THE CARIBBEAN on Monday. There were different foods for the class to look at and sample. These included fruits such as the mango, papaya and the pineapple. After the sampling, the class voted for their favorite fruit.

Through tasting different foods, the students learned something about the culture of Haiti. Finally, the students were asked to write about their experiences. Below is a sampling of what the class had to say. The winner was the pineapple!
